Torbay Police FC is a community football club, consisting of two competitive 'South Devon Football League' squads, a Charity / Legends team and small sided/Futsal teams

 

We are a grassroots community club, founded by Police staff for the benefit of the local community and charities. Our players and officials are a mix of Police staff and members of the local community. #StrongerTogether #StingLikeABee #COYBees

Torbay Police FC is affiliated to the Devon County Football Association.

Torbay Police Football Club was founded in its current form, on 15th October 2010 by members of the Devon & Cornwall Police and features players from the local community as well as Police staff. 

​

The old clubs history appears to date back to 1969 whereupon the Bee’s fielded a 1st and 2nd team in the Devon Wednesday League. A side also played in the East Devon League, before entering the South Devon Football League in the early 80’s. The club had quite a bit of success back then, winning various cups and multiple promotions. Torbay Police FC’s old club disbanded in 1989 as officers and staff were unable to commit to playing due to shifts. Essentially work got in the way, however some players and officials went on to form Churston Ferrers United FC.

One of the clubs main aims nowadays is to organise high profile events, enabling the participation of the whole community, with a family fun day type environment in aid/support of local charities and Children with life limiting or changing conditions.

 

Total raised for Charities and local Children exceeds £30000.

On occasion Torbay Police players receive call ups to play in the Force team; Devon & Cornwall Police FC and play in the SW Area Police Championships as well as the National Police Championships.

TPFC also have a number of small-sided teams which play in local leagues, such as Futsal 5’s.
